  1- I start the news with a message from Gloria Estefan which I took from her official fan site (www.gloriafan.com) :

"...I've also sung a duet with Jon Secada for his new Spanish CD. The song is a classic called "Por Amor", meaning "For Love". Although I had sung background on Jon's debut album and he had done the same for me, we had never actually recorded a duet. I'm very happy with how it turned out and it was a joy to sing with Jon as it has always been when we've sung together live! ..."

I myself can't wait anymore for the release date.

   5- As all of you know I opened a "Discussion Board" section on May19 . As I promised , in every update I will write a new subject for Discussing. Last week I asked you to write about my site , but after that we will talk about Jon's career and his music. So here is this week's subject :

  1- Well, I am back with an idea!!! Last week I discuss with "Johnny" about "Better Part Of Me" album. We think that this album still has some chances for coming back in charts. The best way is asking "Sony Records" for a new single song. We both agreed about releasing "Better Part Of Me" song as single CD, and also "Love's About to change my mind".   1- Secadas family released  their new baby!!! Yes, it's a boy!  Jon Secada and his wife, Maritere welcomed a new addition to their family on July 8,2002, a newborn baby boy.  Jon Henri Secada was born at Mercy Hospital at 8:18 AM, weighing 6 lbs. 3.5 oz.  This is the couple's second child, Mikaela Nina, also born at Mercy, is three years old. The baby was delivered by Mercy OB/GYN, Edward Fidalgo, M.D.  Both mother and baby are doing fine. Do you want any detail?!!!

   This is a very exciting time in Jon's life, not only is he welcoming a new child to his family, but he is also preparing for the launch of his new all Spanish-language album due out in September 2002. (Thanks to my dear friend Elena who gave me this news on July8!!!).

"Jon and Maritere and little Nina, we are really happy and big CONGRATULATIONS for you. Well, our children will have another Jon Secada too!!! " your biggest fans from JUST SECADA. 

Fans! still there is no official released date for the album, but in everywhere they mentioned about Summer 2002.

1-  News of Jon's upcoming Spanish album is getting hotter. I found a guy whose nick name is "Vegas Music Lover" and a die hard fan who is working for a radio station. This guy is doing some good works for promoting Jon's new album. First of all here are the tracks listing :

1- An Unknown records will release another Jon Secada's hits named "Latin Classics". Well, I still haven't found the tracks listing. Expected release date is October 1,2002. But maybe this album is the new name of "Pueblo" . Also my friend VML gave me some new information about Jon's upcoming Spanish album, the name of the album now is "Amanecer" which means "Dawn" or "New Beginning" in Spanish!! and the official release date is October 22,2002. Hey guys I don't like to make you confused, but everytime I get any new updated information I should tell you. So still not sure about the name "Amanecer" or "Pueblo" or what else...Also everytime I hear different release date...who knows, we have to wait!!!. Check out CDNow for more details. 2- Latin Grammy awards is counting down. As you remember last year it became cancelled because of Sep. 11. This time Jon will be one of the presenters among Marc Anthony, Carlos Vives, actress Daisy Fuentes and Backstreet Boy singer Nick Carter. 2- This time I have correct and confirmed information on Jon's upcoming albums. His Spanish album will be out on October 22,2002 (US release date). "Pueblo" was just the working-title for this album and the final name is "Amanecer" . Well , we hope that it will be the "New Beginning" for Jon. The first single will be "Si No Fuera Por Ti". I read some overviews on this album, and all of them are suggesting everyone for buying. (Thanks to VML)

Starting this week, radio listeners will hear something nearly as shocking as an Opie & Anthony ratings stunt: Jon Secada crooning a new tune.Secada — the Cuban-born, Miami-reared singer whose dark good looks, silky voice and bilingual appeal made him a crossover star in the early 1990s — was getting dangerously close to making his next public appearance on the back of a milk carton.

After becoming an instant international sensation with his 1992 debut album, "Just Another Day" ( also released in a Spanish version, the Grammy-winning "Otro Dia Mas Sin Verte"), Secada scored another Grammy for Best Latin Pop Album with "Amor" in 1996.But he seemingly faded from the spotlight in recent years, as the likes of Enrique Iglesias and Ricky Martin shook their videogenic bon-bons down the crossover trail Secada blazed for them.

Still, don't count him out. In October, Secada is releasing "Amanecer" ("Awakening"), his first Spanish-language CD in seven years. Not counting a Christmas album he put out last year, "Amanacer" is Secada's first album in any language since "The Better Part of Me" more than three years ago. While he stops short of calling it a comeback, Secada acknowledges that he has been out of the public eye.

"My singing career isn't as high-profile as it used to be, but I have been busy being a part of the [recording] industry in general," says Secada, now 40. "I've been working in the studio, writing songs and producing for myself and other artists, so I've always had a dual career going on."

The first single, "Si No Fuera por Ti" ("If Not for You"), which hits radio waves in New York this week, is a bit of a departure from Secada's earlier Latin-pop stylings. The ballad fuses elements of South American music with pop rhythms, and Secada is hoping the new sound will appeal to his fans. "Any artist would like his career to be a long one, but the public ultimately decides what they like and what they don't like," says Secada. "But I'm happy that I've been able to do the kind of music I wanted to do and still have a fan base and the respect of my colleagues. Back in those days he was known as JUAN SECADA. 5-2- Nuclear Valdez is a Heavy Metal band came from Miami. They released an album on April 1991 named "Dream Another Dream". Jon Secada did the background vocals for a song called "(Share a Little) shelter". So as you see this man worked with Metal bands too!!!!

1- After 3 years Mr.Secada has come back with another appearance on a movie soundtrack named "Empire". The movie will be on theaters for Dec. 6 , and the soundtrack was released today. 1- Well, Now these days Secada fans are getting back and trying to make him No.1 after many years on Billboard charts. As I mentioned on my breaking news on Dec.7, Jon's first single became No.10 after being 6 weeks on Billboard Latin tracks, then No.5 and now I've heard that he will be No.3 for this week!!! WOW!!! 2- Jon's new English album will be released for the year 2003, maybe March... and one of the tracks will be "My Life through the spirit in your eyes". He was on channel 41-univision in nyc last week as a part in a christmas concert. He sang 2 songs from the new cd. He will also appear on other shows soon to be taped ---with interviews as the christmas tour heads to an end. He did interviews as well in NJ that we maybe hearing on the latin stations in the near future. Thanks to Maria for all the things you are doing.

3- Mr. Secada is not on Top5 just at the Billboard charts, he is doing perfect in Radios charts too. He is No.1 on K-Love, No.3 Amor,.... It shows that you are REALLY supporting.thanks!!! Merry Christmas - Felix Navidad 1- I wish enjoyable moments for all of Jon Secada's fans and  their families around the world. Well this can be my last update for the year 2002. I am happy that this year I could find more friends, give fans the newest Secada's stuffs, and recently can watch Jon's new successes. As you know I could add 3 new sections : "Tour Dates", "Fan Club" and "Discussion board". I am glad that you are enjoying them. Hopefully I have some new sections in my mind which surely you will enjoy. Wait for them. Thanks to friends like Johnny, Lisa, VML, Maria, Marissa, Janet, Mark (JonSecada.net) and many more nice people. (Sorry if some names have been forgotten!) 2- Jon was on Univision Channel and performed his No.3 hit, "Si No Fuera Por Ti" and "Encierrame". 3- Can you imagine if we can see Mr.Secada on No.1 at the beginning of this year? so let it come true and start to request his new song and suggest your friends to buy it.
