4- Official sites were down for about 20 days. All of EEI sites (Estefan Entertainment) had this problem and it was because of doing some backups. They are working now, but nothing new yet!!!

2-1-Johnny : First of all, he mentioned this site as one of the best around. 

As you all know, "Por Amor" will be released on Valentine Day and the video was made in the Dominican Republic. He is also writing songs for Gloria's new CD. Jon said that his new english CD coming out will something like his first CD. Also It seems that he is going to be with another label now, but let me confirm it. Johnny said that some people in the chat room did not know that the CD "Amanecer was out ? I can not believe this!!!!Some people must be lazy to do a little search!!!  

2-2-Maria : Jon told us he will be on Despierta America on FEB-14 the show starts at 7am and runs till 10am on channel 41 nyc -univision -usually the artists appear at 8-8:30 but you never know if he's there for the show as a specal host!!! IT IS A LIVE SHOW and sometimes they take emails and phone calls!!

3- Jon was on Musicasí, Spanish music show on TVE, where he performed "Por Amor". He was as this week special artist, but it is in spanish. He´s also on there list of the week, but on the 48th. place. Here are the two articles of Jon in the site of this Channel :

4- Jon is going to do a duet with Ricky Martin, for Ricky's upcoming album"Tal Vez". It will the first single of this album , and it is the name of the album "Tal Vez" written by Franco De Vita ,Juan Zambrano. On may 12th it will be the international launch of the new CD in Madrid and on may 14th the new Cd will be on sale. Thanks Maria

4-  Also he is in Mexico now to participate in four chapters of the soap opera Class 406. It seems that he finished recording them and they will be on air this week Univision-41 in nyc-it runs everyday at 3-4pm , and on a show called ESCANDELO they interviewed JON live from the airport in mexico.He said he was excited to do this because it was his first novela and he is getting ready for more acting work. Thanks Johnny for the pictures

3- Remeber MSM?!! The new Miami Sound Machine produced by Jon, Emilio Estefan & Joel Someillan GOES GOLD! The album has been selling very well in Spain and has just been certified GOLD! The girls are a big hit over there...watch out when they come to America!

4- We also waiting to hear the duet of Jon and Ricky Martin name "Tal Vez", also Jon wrote another song for Ricky's new album which is called " Asi es que te quiero " , and it is an un-tempo song with a huge percussion. He did both music and lyrics. It seems that the duet version is not in the album , and will be released as the single.

5- It seems that Jon was going to attend for Ceila Cruz event in Miami last week. I am still doing some searches. Thanks Janet.

1- Let's start with Jon's upcoming English album. I've heard that this album will be a special one, and he is writing some songs by himself and a good news... Jon is trying to co-write some others with his old friend, MIGUEL MOREJON!!!! He is the man who did the absolute hits like "Just Another Day", "Angel", "If You Go",....I really believe in this man, and hope that we can hear new songs by him. Also it will be interesting for you that Mr.Secada is going to use Alternative songs too. (Thanks to Joel Someillan , Willy Perez Feria)

Miami To Host 14th Annual  Billboard Latin Music Awards!   (May 6-8 at the Miami Arena) 6- Jon Secada is not nominated for any kind of award, DAMN!!!! but it seems that as a presenter he will be there. We should wait for Latin Grammy award. Maybe they will pay more attention to his new album!!!

7- I was talking to my friends from Brazil and it seems that people haven't heard anything from Jon after "Stop"!!!!! "Amanecer" is an album for Latin countries like Brazil, so why should this happen? So how can we wait and see Jon in awards ceremonies?!!!

1- Chasing Papi movie didn't sell well in box offices and at the first week stand for No.10 !!! Hope that by your supports, the Original soundtrack do well. Also Johnny added that On the Chasing Papi soundtrack Jon also does Background vocals On Shalim`s song "Se Me Olvido Tu Nombre".

2- It sounds some good news for the single "Por Amor" and seems to be making some progress slowly but surely.

On the Spanish channel Telefutura they have a program called La Cartelera Pepsi (Spanish Music Videos). Jon has broken into the TOP TWENTY to # 17 on the countdown. Moving 3 positions from # 20 to # 17. This is what Jon needs some video exposure. Written by Johnny.

3-  Maria & Janet could speak with Jon after Tito show and below are some of the greatest info. He will be in Miami working on the English album hoping to release it next year around spring! as well as NYC promotions and other cities too...Thanks a lot my friends.

JustSecada.com 2nd. Year Anniversary

1- First of all, wanted to say thanks to all of the friends who have been helping me during these 2 years. I have named them all in "Guest Book" section. I have updated almost all of the pages. Don't miss new section "Wallpaper" and more than new 80 pictures at Galleries "18" and "35" to "38".

    Gloria attended the Broadway musical "Cabaret", where Jon Secada is now starring as the Emcee. Emilio,Emily, Tony and Frank were also in attendance. Apparently Gloria was covering up Emily's eyes during the performance, as the show is a little risqué!
They also attended an event sponsored by Johnny Walker Black after the show. Gloria showed up around 11pm and the photographers went wild! They Jon came in again with his wife and parents. Gloria was brought back around again for shots with Jon. She and Jon were interviewed by NY1. 
Come to the Cabaret and check out Jon! He's amazing in the role, in which he will appear through 8/31.
As usual, Jon, Gloria and Emilio were gracious and accommodating and everyone looked fabulous!! Great night!

2- Cabaret Emcee Jon Secada Performed at  "Broadway in Bryant Park," Aug. 7 
Secada was on hand to sing "I Don't Care Much" from the John Kander-Fred Ebb musical "Cabaret" and gave audiences a special treat, singing his pop hit "If You Go."  Check out pictures of this event!

3- On Thursday July 31 and Friday August 1- Jon was shown on CLASE 406 !!!! Hope many of you could catch it. I was alerted after the show!! (Thanks to Maria)

    The latest benefit CD for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS, "Broadway's Greatest Gifts: Carols for a Cure." The fifth annual recording for the worthy organization will feature nearly 20 tracks from the casts of most of this season's Broadway musicals. 

    Actress-producer Lynn Pinto recently talked about this year's recordings, which were conducted over a three-day period last week. "The recording went great," said Pinto, "and there are some really magical moments on it. Some of the highlights include lead vocals by Antonio Banderas, Jon Secada, Harvey Fierstein and Hugh Jackman." The track line-up follows:

3- Michael Jackson Charity Single Finally Available. The multi-artist benefit single "What More Can I Give" was released on Oct. 27 for download through the non-profit organization Music for Giving. Completed in 2001, recording of the single was orchestrated by Michael Jackson and featured the talents of  Jon Secada, Gloria Estefan, Celine Dion, Mariah Carey, Carlos Santana, Beyoncé Knowles, Usher and Brian McKnight, among others.
For a $2 donation, the single can be downloaded from musicforgiving.com. 

Jackson originally wrote the song in response to the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11, 2001. Also taking part in the recording were 3LW, Anastacia, Boyz II Men's Shawn Stockman and Michael McCary, Nick Carter, Aaron Carter, Billy Gilman, Hanson, Ziggy Marley, Ricky Martin, Reba McEntire, Mya, 'N Sync, Tom Petty, , Shakira, Thalía and Luther Vandross.
    It is unknown why the song never saw an official release, which Jackson had initially hoped would raise as much as $50 million for 9/11-related relief organizations. Some reports suggested it never saw the light of day due to disagreements between Jackson and Sony Music, the parent company of his label, Epic Records. Jackson has publicly feuded with the company since the release of his 2001 studio album, "Invincible," which debuted at No. 1 on The Billboard 200 but sold a disappointing 2.1 million copies in the U.S., according to Nielsen SoundScan. 

     Jackson performed the song on Oct. 21, 2001, at the star-studded United We Stand: What More Can I Give benefit concert in Washington, D.C. Produced by Clear Channel Entertainment, the event grossed about $3 million in ticket sales and benefited the Salvation Army, the American Red Cross and the Pentagon Relief Fund.

5- Here is the hot news : Now everybody knows my friend and one of the greatest fans from USA, Maria. After Bronx concert she could talk to Jon and here is her report : He said he was heading to California in January with Robi"draco"Rosa to produce the rest of his English album.. Robi wrote the biggest hits for RICKY MARTIN and has been along time fried to all of us for 20years now --he is a genius -and Jon brags about him!
He said he is trying to get another Broadway show ASAP if a great part comes along and hopefully he will be releasing the English by spring /summer------he will be doing New years eve in BALI ---he sends his love and thanks to the site and all and hopes to see good things for all in the new year!

There is Spanish page which talked about it, and Elena translate some the parts. In this symbol it reads: Secada Matienzo del Valle de Ruesga", in effect the last name Secada proceeds Del Valle de Ruesga and the name of the town that exists with the name Matienzo. Read this article if you know Spanish!!
